Strip club in Memphis yesterday, preparing for the arrival of the National Guard. What’s an off-duty National Guard soldier going to do at night? Hey y’all Guardsmen, put some of that money into the local economy. (Not my pic, found on a private Memphis FB page.) I live in Memphis.

Believe women (and girls). I believe women who say that they were sexually abused. I believe women who say powerful men like Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein have abused them. I’ve been working as a therapist for 40 years- I have seen countless adults and kids who were victims of sexual assault.

I like this setup. I’d feel safe seeing this.

Chinga la Migra, y chinga DJT.

This happened at the same immigration court where I have testified in downtown Memphis. The deportee dad is a welder, and the sole support for 5 American citizens, the Mom and kids. Does his detention make America great?

I repeat, chinga la Migra, y chinga DJT

96, feels like 114 in Memphis. Deadly if you make a mistake.

"Do you have a signed official judicial warrant?" That’s a good question for authority --ICE-- these days. But asking the question might get you arrested.

Nature heals me, in whatever form I can find it. I live in the middle of Memphis, a large urban area. But I find hawks, buzzards, foxes, raccoons, possums, and a multitude of amazing trees. And gorgeous sunsets. Here’s a recent pic of where my wife and I go walking daily:

Blooming now at the Elma Roane FieldHouse at the University of Memphis. Amidst the chaos of our burning planet and my newly more fascist country, there are still moments of beauty available for those who have the luxury of time for mindful observation.

Demand due process. It is a foundational principle of justice.

I have been to Federal immigration court to testify in a political asylum case. These courts operate with rules of evidence, regulations, and procedures similar to criminal trials. Anything less is un-American, immoral, and illegal.

Here we go again- 250 years ago we had to organize to overcome tyranny. Let’s get it done again, y’all. No Kings in America!

Boston, last night: The Old North Church of Revolutionary War fame. The steeple held the lamps (one if by land, two if by sea) telling Paul Revere what message to relay.

At the Dachau memorial near Munich. Germany. Dachau was built by the Nazis in 1933. It was built primarily to house political opponents to the Nazi regime.

Found this on FB somewhere- it’s from the FDR Memorial.

Yesterday in Memphis. I’m 72. It was a blast. Maybe 200 of us. It’s a start.

Someone took my picture yesterday at the protest party in Memphis 38111. I just got the flag yesterday in the mail- I’ll get a proper flag pole for it soon. @indivisible.org

The campus of the University of Memphis- Admin Building, It’s one of my favorite places to go on a mindful stress management walk- it helps me recharge my personal batteries after a tough day doing psychotherapy. Cool lighting.

Lot’s of cheering, and supportive honking from passing cars. #Teslatakedown at #Tesla of #Memphis. Tennessee. We had probably 150-200 participants. Totally peaceful and nonviolent, but a bit noisy. @indivisiblememphis.bsky.social

At this late stage of my career, I am doing telehealth only. I use an upstairs bedroom, and I have a window that overlooks our front yard in Memphis. For about 2 weeks each spring, I am treated to this view of a beautiful flowering tulip magnolia. I love spring in the south.

Made good trouble today. Held this sign. The person next to me had a nice ‘Trans Rights are Human Rights’ sign. It felt good to be with kindred spirits. Memphis is a very blue dot surrounded by a sea of red.

Had a great time resisting today with @indivisiblememphis.bsky.social in Memphis today. Good turnout, good spirits. A lot of us were there for Vietnam and Civil Rights in the ’60’s- I think we’re going to get the band back together!

The Daffodils are up in force on the campus of the
University of Memphis. It’s a beautiful, warm day after a night of thunderstorms and heavy rain.

Moonrise tonight- it looked more orange to my eye than this iPhone pic shows. Ultimate Frisby Warriors are going through warmups on the field—serene scenery for Carol and me on our evening walk.
