Froze my ass off at the lake this morning. Totally worth it.

Dying things still get gilded by the setting sun.

Join me in the trenches that are “putting the kids to bed.” I cuddle with each one and listen if they want to talk - yes I crawl up into my 9 year old’s loft bed. It’s often the hardest part of my day because kids don’t want to go to sleep. But it’s also the best part of my day at the same time.

I did it. I looked through all of my Dad’s slides. Every last one. I reduced 4 massive bins to this one small bin. It was a melancholy project, but I am so grateful to have had the chance to be the archivist for his work.

This makes so much sense to me and simplifies the struggle.

My grandfathers. They both went to war, one as a mechanic of planes and another as a pilot.

At the park with my kids, and I’m one second away from really embarrassing them by enacting the gazebo scene in The Sound of Music

My 13 year old and I have been hiding this sticker back and forth for the other to find because it’s truly a horrible sight. Today I couldn’t figure out why my wireless mouse wasn’t working. The girl is a genius.

Also, my mouse doesn’t have a battery cover because my kids somehow lost it.

I’ve been going through my Dad’s slides in an effort to get them down to a manageable amount that can then be scanned.

I love the posing in this picture (have no idea who these people are). it feels like they all think they are in different pictures. Think I want to recreate this.

We ready for this?

Look at this massive pile of coffee crisp. My kids don’t like them, but I love them - I will take my coffee in any form I can!

Shaking off a frustrating game by reminding myself that we had the loveliest Halloween sunset I can remember. Nature never did betray the heart that loved her (or something to that effect)

We ready for this?!

Iconic (is iconic too strong a word?) Toronto streetcar cheering on the Jays (though it looks like it says Jaus)

The Halloween-Blue Jays mashup I never could have imagined.

Big day here. World Series in Toronto.

I wore this hat to school drop-off and asked my 13 yo if I looked like a dweeb. She very sweetly said “no” but then said “I don’t know what dweeb means” 😂

When your 13-year-old and your 9-year-old sit holding hands 🥹

I usually buy Halloween stickers for the kids’ lunch notes. For some reason this ghost is cracking me up. Pearls, fake eyelashes, fluttering, a gorgeous deep purple lipstick, ghost arms on non-existent hips. She is serving.

It’s a good day to cheer my 9-year-old on her cross country run!

I’ve finally hung some special photos of my grandparents and my dad. Just have one more grandparent to put up. They are above my desk reminding me I better write something worthwhile!

Am I mentally prepared for game 7? No. But bring it on!
