Hello to all the new friends following me! Please be aware that I am only following back a few at a time. I do look carefully at your profiles. I am interested in your unique personal thoughts. Accounts that mostly repost from others are less intriguing to me.
Couldn't find my evil eye necklace this morning but it turns out the Inquisition logo from #DAI #DragonAge will do the job too.

The Cave-In Caucus strikes again. I see I have some angry post cards to write today.

I trust both parties will have vigorous leadership changes in 2026.

A small but troubling sign at the public school where I work: families are starting to move. 2 kids this week say they're moving away. Of course I don't know their circumstances but obviously the economy is a factor. #teacherstories

Thinking about writing? You can do it! One word, one sentence, one paragraph, one page at a time. Keep going!

Got the cover art for my next book, Standing Stones and Safety Zones, from an artist I know personally, Betsy Mott. I'm thrilled with it!

Betsy took time off for family care and hasn't painted in several years. I was excited to help her get back to the canvas where she belongs.

A kid at school (grade 4) was over the moon when I (65+ aide) told him I watched Delicious in Dungeon and can't wait for the next season.

Did a reading at a small convention this morning and spotted 3 typos. Ugh!

It is a truth universally acknowledged that as soon as you start cleaning the toilet everyone in the house will desperately need to use it and cannot wait.

I watched NPR coverage of the Epstein victims. Surprised there was no mention of the military fly-over attempting to intimidate and drown out the victims. @lisad.bsky.social what gives?

At my union meeting, voting on a 3-year contract. A hard choice because one unit has been ignored for 6 years.

If even 1 unit is unhappy, I can't support the contract. It isn't about me, it's about us.

Got a nice personal rejection of my short story, "Poppet." After the ritual days of rejecting their rejection, I took another look. Their suggested fix was easy, plus the usual sneaky typos. They didn't say to send it again, so now I search for the next market. #amwritingfantasy #fantasywriter

Warlock's Army, the cast has grown so large that I made 3 separate charts for who lives where, who knows who, and what their attitude is toward the whole mess.

Fun-ish! And my own fault. If I do this now, I won't have to stop in the middle of writing to try and name a character.

Warlock's Army: going well, over 20,000 words and starting chapter 4 with a trust exercise among the boy cohort. (They don't call it that, of course.)
