I’m no expert🧂, but my understanding is that wet bulb events might indeed become more common in areas that are already fairly humid.

It is a great question bc they do seem contradictory. I think if @weatherwest.bsky.social were here, he would ask you to imagine a small kitchen sponge holding some water, and a larger sponge which can both hold more water and also absorb more water. Also something something Clausius-Clapeyron.
