This is not a shot at how easy other trading card games are, this is about how complicated yugioh is. The gaps in difficulty in high level play between YGO and games like magic, pokemon, hearthstone etc are massive.

I think the issue is that a lot of people are just not a fan of overhead turn based combat games. I think the reason BG3 got a big pass was just how phenomenal the characters, story animation and customization it had. DOS2 has most of what made BG3 great it just lacks things to appeal to mainstream
