We’re constantly surrounded by information.
I don’t need more information.
I want to be surrounded by talking owls, forgetful wizards, enchanted swords that sing off-key, and tea brewing witches, studying ancient texts in the shadows.

Rewarding a dictator-aggressor always leads to another war. One that is usually even worse.

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

Years later, I am super annoyed at Biden’s pledge to nominate a Black woman for the Supreme Court because wouldn’t Barack Obama have been an excellent choice?

When you see Mamdani looking all normal doing normal person things—petting bodega cats, riding public transport—you realize just how bizarre and estranged our average candidate for public office is. Rich martians in flesh suits

OMG. Now we can’t even leave the country if the fascist regime doesn’t like us?
“Someone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’

Coal.
Our plan is to open up more land for coal mining (ugly and destructive), charge less for mining rights (less govt revenue), hire more miners (more risk and illness), and burn more coal (more pollution - see illness, above - and much more global warming).
So wrong and backwards. 😢

MAHA is all marketing and a distraction.

It wants to tackle poor air and water quality but the EPA just got defunded.

It wants to promote healthy eating, but the admin gutted SNAP benefits that would do just that.

Biggest killer of kids? Guns. Totally silent on that.

New Mexico is overriding the federal government on the topic of COVID19 vaccines to ensure their residents can access them.
