Lots of stepmoms dying in German stories though. The Brothers Grimm do deserve their name~. <3

Looked at a few hours of reality, came back here to look at the happy colours again~. <3

The only good thing that came out of ML engines: one of the dumbest memes ever. XD

I kinda noticed that about the media I consume. XD

As for double checking: I saw multiple photographic proofs on facebook that shrimp jesus exists, I KNEW HE WAS REAL! <3

(please do not take me seriously d: )

I do still like them a ton for reasons like that. :) Their dedication to stating facts is something to adore, though they were accused of being too left-leaning in the way they report political content (again, not a thing I could complain about. d: ).

But… yeah. Doubt even the best sources. o7

And to doubt what they see. Even my local, and normally reliable, news source accidentally published news with generated footage. They took it down the second they knew it was not real, but it was still not a fun reminder that everybody could fall for it if they don't pay close attention. :/

Gotta help each other out. o7 <3 Thanks for making a thread and reminding people to look out for inconsistencies! <3

If I might add: small patterns often make no sense for AI, so tattoos get messed up. Grass, straw, or pebbles in the background get swirly and in videos, there is constant movment in them.

Those colours are pure joy~! <3

I am so amused by this accidental visual representation of art trying to find space online. XD

Not trusting online content till proven real is already a really good approach. :D Plus, perfect hearing exists, so it might be the best detection for generated video content and you might be one of the people who can just tell the difference. :D

While I still get a lot of the "this is AI" ick when I look at something, there are also cute animal clips I assume to be completely real till the dog dissolves into cooked ramen noodles.

So, if they can sneak dog vids past me, they probably can sneak other shit past me too.

Personally I think I'm pretty darn efficient at recognising generative AI usage in visual media. But I also think assuming that I can tell with perfect accuracy which is real and which is not… is dangerous.
November 8, 2025 at 10:05 AM
Think of it that way: why would real moderation allow you to block and report them? :) If in doubt that's the first thing I check. So, yeah, scam.
November 8, 2025 at 9:40 AM
So, wait. Just because I think my English is not up to the task here and I might be misunderstanding things: You're saying you won't be fooled by AI because you don't support it? 🤔

"I don't know what you changed, but this IS better!" <3
November 7, 2025 at 9:53 AM
The internet is still getting flooded with generated content, so when you look at the internet and don't see generated content, this only means your ability to tell that it is generated is not up to the task to recognise it. The amount of it online is bigger than ever.
November 7, 2025 at 9:51 AM
I think we are talking about two very different applications of generative AI here. I think you mean the ones that pretend to be artists, I mean the ones who yeet out photorealistic fake content to adjust reality and history in a way they like it. 🤔 Both are shit and dangerous in their own way.
