Lots of hail in Norman tonight. Not a clue if any of those were bigger than 0.25” (biggest I personally saw)

Love these new CoCoRaHS graphics to view station data. A few days of soaking rains and my Norman site is right at normal rainfall for the year after a drought-like start.

Another day-7 severe forecast to watch
March 17, 2025 at 12:20 PM
The operational GEFS-MLP/CSU-MLP suggests a similar picture of a high-end severe weather day.
March 14, 2025 at 8:51 AM
Some experimental guidance from our Graphcast-based AI-MLP system is suggesting a high-end severe event on Saturday across the southeast. High tornado probabilities (and sig tornado in black contours) suggest a high-end parameter space for extremes.

Following up on this...even more rare to see a day 6 sig severe hatching. Through Jan 2025, there have been 8 such occasions with number of verifying LSRs ranging from 55 to 910.
