I got a nice comment on Insects and it knocked something loose in my brain. Ignoring all the shiny events and locking in
"You want to dance? At a time like this?" she asked. "Byleth, there will never be a time I don't want to dance with you," he said, slipping his hand into hers. "But as it happens, I do have a reason this time." "What about distracting the guests?" To her surprise, he pulled her close, much too close, into a waltz that would have sent Seteth into an apoplectic fit. The proximity made it impossible for her to rest her hand on his shoulder, so she was forced-- well, forced might be a bit strong-- to wrap the arm he wasn't holding around his middle instead. He did the same, his hand splayed out wide on her back, as if trying to touch as much of her as possible. She was entirely engulfed in him-- his smell, his warmth, his strength. "It's going to be a very distracting dance," he whispered into her ear.
