I love this picture. Perhaps it's why I bought a picture not too dissimilar a few years back. This is by Eric Huntley in 1986. He was a painter who lived and worked in the Scottish Borders. I believe he was an art teacher too. This has a lovely quiet feel to it.

Storm Darragh wreaked its havoc here in the west of Ireland through Friday night into Saturday. Trees were uprooted, bins and fences were sent cascading down streets & power lines pulled down. But at my parents house this little pile of sticks lay completely untouched. I'm puzzled.
