I'm thankful for living in a (mostly) stable society that (mostly) respects education. I wouldn't be where I am today without both.
Despite all that has happened this year and will happen for the next 3.25 I think we've got a pretty good thing going. I don't think we need to give in to pessimism.

SCOOP—In August, nearly 200 current/former FEMA staffers published the Katrina Declaration, a whistleblower letter detailing all the dangers posed by current leadership.
All current employees were put on indefinite leave, and now I've learned one has been fired in violation of federal protections:

I am so completely tired of politicians' social media teams posting what amount to headlines on their feeds. Do they not know how weak it makes them look, acting as though they have so little power or influence that they need us to get all riled up in comments?

It warm my heart seeing so many republicans donors losing local nominally nonpartisan races.
We actually had some guy running for city council because taxes have gone up recently. But the taxes went up because of voters, not council action. So he was actually opposed to voters. He lost. womp womp

Given his response to hearing about the movie House of Dynamite, maybe we should push for more movies about making the president look strong by fighting far-right extremists.
