As the United States contends with a government intent on erasing liberties and identities, it was a salve on my soul to see Harvey Milk’s name and photo at the San Francisco airport. A reminder to never give up the fight for what is right.

Trump’s actions since January have led to this moment: his desire to establish an authoritarian state. It’s time for Americans to decide what kind of country they want to live in.

Vermont is the best state, full stop.
In these difficult times building community, and support for each other, is extremely important. That’s why I’m holding community dances around Vermont.

We just had a great event in Hardwick. People of all ages danced the night away.

Prolife party, indeed.
This line is going to stick with me for a very long time.

“One of them is a 4-year-old with Stage 4 cancer who was deported without medication or the ability to contact their doctors…”
Three U.S. citizens, ages 2, 4 and 7, swiftly deported from Louisiana
The cases have renewed concerns that the Trump administration’s expedited deportations are violating the rights of both citizens and noncitizens.

So let me get this straight: you can vandalize the US Capitol and physically attack police officers, and you’ll be celebrated by this administration. But if you dare *verbalize* your opinions, you’ll be deported. Makes sense.

I too often wistfully think back to the good ol’ days when you could be lucky enough to catch mumps, measles and rubella.
RFK Jr: "It used to be that everybody got measles. And the measles gave you lifetime protection against measles infection. The vaccine doesn't do that ... it used to be that very young kids were protected by breast milk. Women who get vaccinated do not provide that level of immunity."
