Today is Albanian Independence Day and this week #SalemMA held our first Albanian flag raising to commemorate the occasion! We’re proud to celebrate our residents of Albanian ancestry as they mark 114 years of independence today.

Great job by both #SalemMA and Beverly teams at today’s big Thanksgiving Day classic! While Beverly won the day, it was full of great sportsmanship and energy from both teams - not to mention a wonderful halftime performance by the marching bands and constant positive spirit from the cheer squads.

For 42 years, #SalemMA and Beverly High School student leaders have met for the “Bridging the Gap” ceremony before the Thanksgiving game. The event, which Salem hosted today, kicks off the season with a recommitment to good sportsmanship and mutual respect.

Today we held another Mobile Mayor’s Office, bringing our team out of City Hall and into the #SalemMA community!

The North of Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau held their annual tourism awards celebration this week in #SalemMA.

The state’s formula for calculating aid for local schools is broken.

#SalemMA has felt the impact of its flaws and I testified today about the negative and inequitable effects the current formula has had on our schools here, and the deep, urgent need to reform it.

The Children’s Center for Communication & Beverly School for the Deaf supports numerous #SalemMA children with specialized educational services.
