Because being a member of the group who the law protects but does not bind, even if unintentionally, rots your character
Why is getting caught for breaking the rule the thing that feels like a violation fo the social contract and not breaking the law, is a real question I have on a conceptual level
As one of these 48,000, yes I was over the speed limit and I probably deserved the ticket but getting caught speeding by a robot still feels like a violation of the social contract somehow. wjla.com/news/local/m...

My son's first exposure to NASCAR was via a vintage Earnhardt tee I wear so now whenever he receives a new hot wheels with a racing livery his first, very serious question is whether the driver is still alive

I tried to hike to this reservoir once and ended up having to climb a 10ft fence to escape the estate neighboring Pharrell's place in order to get back to paved roads
Tried to jog around a reservoir I found on Google maps and ended up doing 8k on roads without sidewalks!!!
You people need Jesus (or better map labeling I guess)

Cops in Waltham, MA have shut down the city for TWO DAYS for a police funeral - and forced the schools to close at short notice because the cops commandeered the school buses for the event!

Conservative brain drain getting put on blast tonight
For years we’ve been worried about what would happen when a more competent Trump runs for president, but no one considered the possibility that a less competent Trump would run for president

Not unique to them by any means but most conservative Americans' concepts of good guys and bad guys boils right down to "they treated people like me generously/harshly"
Probably worth noting that more and more conservatives are openly saying: I am a fascist and I want a fascist dictator
