Apparently a writer now. Church bells, politics, unwarranted opinions and confidence.
I'm incredibly tired of the "democrat tells donald trump to fuck off, thunderous applause, and then does nothing substantial" loop. It's beginning to wear thin and so far has not stopped ICE from kicking down the doors of churches and kidnapping people.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is probably the first time in American history a sitting governor has used that particular -- and particularly apt -- phrase in a public speech
If I didn't live in California I'd move to Illinois.

My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings. Look upon the muck in here, and shut that door.

It's not a funny one but it is one of the best opening scenes in cinema history.

What many people don't understand about trying to be a freelance writer is that when something is published, lightning arcs between tesla coils in my attic and I go "It's Alive" like I'm in an old horror film. www.churchtimes.co.uk/articles/202...
Politics without principle creates a crueler society
One of Frederick Donaldson’s seven social evils resonates in particular today, argues Douglas J. Parkinson

The Anti-Cop Flop is going to be the dance routine of this autumn.
This gets progressively funnier with every use of the term "floppy".

There weren't barriers, there was simply a time when the rich wanted to look respectable. With the rise of new money in the 1980s, from stock market deregulation and thatcherism, the association between respectability and wealth was destroyed. Now we get people open about being complete wankers
There have always been Trumps, as there have always been Johnsons and Farages. None are particularly complex or interesting characters. What needs understanding is how the barriers that shut them out have collapsed, and why - in the case of the first two - established parties have knelt before them.

As with all AI related news, I am left with the overwhelming feeling of "why would you want that". Not haate, not disgust, not a sudden urge to invest in American tech stocks. Just utter bafflement. At why anyone would want that.
Deal to get ChatGPT Plus for whole of UK discussed by Open AI boss and minister

These people rail against the demise of "English Culture" and then merrily import Americanisms that have no meaning in England and dilute British English and the culture our language entails. Senior Citizen does not mean anything in England.

American liberals on this site are right. If we keep berating the american public for being so stupid not to vote for the democrats, they'll come back to the centre left eventually.
