I remember those days- we had this Kota the triceratops animatronic toy. Only thing I ever made a profit on when selling it on eBay after interest waned.

Been a while since I shared some Susan #squirrel #SquirrelsOfBluesky on here
Susan took an almond under duress. Once she realised a pecan was on offer, the relationship with her almond was over.

Have also been trying to dry out the random damp floor where nothing has been spilt & the hairdryer has helped more than the dehumidifier.
Not convinced this is the healthiest rental property.

It’s not bonfiring fast enough for the wood stacker. No doubt due to the torrential rain soaking it all for the last few days.

Yesterday’s community build up to the Big Fire. Have not seen today’s additions yet, but I doubt we are anywhere near Sandy Row, or even Tullycarnet efforts.

Got it for 50p second hand off my school mate who decided she was too cool for New Romantics.

First full price purchase from a record shop was Parallel Line, probably in Connswater Shopping Centre.

Up until that point, I got albums for Xmas presents or from the library to copy to cassette.

7:25 and no trick or treaters yet.
Has the weather defeated them?
Or @jonarnold.bsky.social ‘s sneaky trick of locking the front door & pulling over the curtain so it’s too dark to see the steps?
I’m in my monster costume & want to scare someone!

Tonight’s mouse count- 1 so far, who didn’t want to leave the escape pod…4 minutes s/he bloody made me wait. Clip is shorter for dramatic purposes 🐁

‘It’s an operational matter for the police, and government doesn’t get involved in operational issues for the police’…
Says Ian Murray just before explaining how the government was getting involved in operational issues for the police.

Feels like I might be trolling the mice with my choice of Tshirt this morning & the alt text.

Another one, or the same one? Sadly, I am not going to get dressed & yomp it away tonight, so have left it outside the back door. Plenty of peanut butter to keep it occupied & hopefully the plastic is tough enough to prevent a prison break.

Success about 20 minutes ago with the cupboard trap. Finished my Duolingo and took it on a small hike to the park where it timewarped across to the trees in a blur. The trap outside remains empty and has had one climb up the side but not gone in yet.

Anyhoo, here’s tonight’s experiment. One for the cupboard and one for the outside windowsill.
Assuming it works, advice seems to vary on how far away to release them.

Meanwhile, opened the cupboard door on Saturday night to investigate the noise and found Max with back paws on a beer can and front paws on the porridge. Looked me in the eye then disappeared into the murky depths of the under-cupboards.

Not used to this nighttime visitor, but they’re pretty rubbish at mousing.

Y’know how the #Strictly producers like to throw a bit of shade with the music choices? Expand for the title.

It was either this or Rolf Harris’s Greatest Hits.

Seriously impressed with this little ‘un as that pecan nut was a good inch long. You snooze you lose squirrels.

Well this looks like hilariously bad viewing for Tues night.

My bedroom (in the attic) contained The Bookcase. Same authors. I devoured the Flemings, not so keen on Wheatley(eye opening for an under 10yo 😉).
Refused to read MacLean due to Oppositional defiance with my dad 🤣

The Jolly Cyberman went for £23 at auction, a fortune in 1985!
