I did miss something: the near one-hour weather delay

Oof, that was a tough one for y'all. Blowing an early 2-0 lead (especially at home), conceding an own goal, and getting knocked out of the top spot, all in a local rivalry game! Am I missing anything? 😄😐

At least today is the 40th anniversary of QUEEN'S PERFORMANCE AT Live Aid. 🎤

Nice! What do you think of this one? The artist was photographing a mural when a woman walked in front of it. The artist liked her look and the composition of it all so much that he decided to incorporate her into the mural.

Kinda reminds me of a certain light rig from a certain band. (But then again, most things remind me of that certain band.)

I read the book about eight years ago, thinking that it would make me more sympathetic toward rural Trump supporters. It had the opposite effect.

A Day at the Races was mine, too. I think it cost $6.99 (plus tax). Bought it at a department store when I was 10.

The Evolution of Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’: How a Minor Hit Became One of The Band’s Most Beloved (And Inescapable) Songs
Despite Queen's legacy of chart smashes and classic rock standards, it's a No. 86 hit from 1979 still ignored by radio that's everywhere in 2019.

Battlestar Galactica, right? One of my university roommates pointed that out immediately upon hearing it for the first time.

Your fog is more scenic than ours today. Here's my (limited) office view.

That was 33° F (or 1° C). The U.S. abandoned Celsius (and all metric units) soon after Freddie Mercury, in 1978, declared himself Mr. Fahrenheit. Expect a reversal though via an executive order mandating that ambient temperatures be referred to only as "tremendous" "cold" or "boring."

It's foggy here too and I'm listening to the pod as well. Only an ocean separates us. 😄
P.S. Great shot!
