The other day, I was asked what the title "Eat the Sunbeam Flaring" meant, so I'm very pleased to be able to talk about this poem. It's "Love Sonnet XI" by Pablo Neruda.

I pulled up episode 13, and I actually think you're right. I had such a strong memory of Soyo's ambivalent expression at the start of the phrase, but she does smile. It's easy to imagine a complicated sort of feeling.

I think that there's something cute about the way that, despite her odd nature, Raana-chan adopted Taki and Tomori.

I've sometimes thought, "If I was the protagonist of a yuri manga, what sea creature would I form a connection with?" And I think the answer is probably jorunna parva, a certain kind of sea slug.
