Another one of our feathered friends. After some research we think it is a Noisy Friarbird. There were actually two of them, inspecting the bottlebrush, which is having one flower so far.

Look what came to visit us this morning. Comparing it to pictures in the bird book, I think it is a Sacred Kingfisher. You little beauty!

We have new visitors in our garden. They are butcherbirds. I just hope they become friends like the magpies did. My husband was once attacked by a whole bunch of them when we went for a walk.

I am absolutely ecstatic. Look what my husband just found in our letterbox - my 2023 Ricardian!!! My original copy never arrived, so this is a replacement copy, posted only 6 days ago from the UK. I hadn't expected it to arrive before Christmas.
