Endometriosis PRS was associated with the disease itself, but we found no interaction with traumatic events, suggesting that trauma assessment could help identify individuals at higher risk.

We also conducted genetic correlation analyses between endometriosis and 23 trauma-related phenotypes, with the strongest associations observed for PTSD and childhood maltreatment.

These experiences included sexual, physical, and emotional traumas (see the results of our LCA below). We also observed that contact traumas (traumatic events involving physical contact with the abuser) also occured more frequently in patients.

So thrilled to share that we’ve received a grant from Fundació La Marató de TV3 to advance precision therapy for endometriosis using PGx! Our aim is to move beyond the "one-size-fits-all" approach, cutting delays in finding effective treatments and reducing side effects for patients.
