If I'm reading Wikipedia right then the 5th circuit basically covers Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas, with a combined population of about 38M.

In his defense I think you're supposed to have photo ID to get into RSLs and similar. And I guess if you're going to claim to be from elsewhere to avoid paying membership you have to choose somewhere embarrassing to avoid questions.

I feel a valid use of AI is to have "Kevin McCloud" narrate the White House renovations. But I think just suggesting the idea goes 90% of the way for amusement value, and doesn't boil 17 mountain lakes to cool the data centre making the video.

Have you read any of Cory Doctorow's work? I'm fairly sure he was the first person I'm aware of to express it as something like "AI doesn't have to be able to do your job, it just has to convince your boss it can". You may find his views on technology and its implications for society interesting.
