Discoverer of the EBS Nuclear War Tapes (specifically National Archives Tape 027) hosted on Conelrad6401240 on YouTube.
Since about 1990, EBS and EAS transmitters were placed as far outside nuclear 2 PSI blast contours to protect antennas. Currently EAS has no fallout protection. KCBS Novato dates to late 1980s. See also NAPB 90 nuclear risk areas. Same for KFI Buena Park.

Previous FOIA to DHS over 2 decades were unsuccessful, because DHS denied all knowledge of any tapes or NIC type materials. Such denials are now impossible, given FEMA admits having operated NIC. DHS denied all knowledge of Tape 027, transferred by FEMA to NARA in 1984. 2016 FOIA was 100% correct.

There's no unclassified document says EBS National News Center became NIC in 1980s, but timeline of docs all but proves they're same. Details remain classified, probably here. There is not even a Withdrawl Sheet for EBS Tape 027. Press Sec was expected to supervise it all at MW.

In a 2025 book, Anne Barriault describes work her father did for NIAC on the EBS Cold War program and related matters. Unable to find any contact info so far. Who would have known if Godfrey rumors were true? Her father. Only a handful of people had direct, personal knowledge. He'd have been one.

If you worked for one of the radio networks in DC at any period during the Cold War, chances are high you had a clearance and were one of the volunteers who would report to MW in case EBS were activated. Will you talk now? Info suggests this became "National Information Center" circa 1988.

Some media headlines incorrectly report what's going on in Congress as so-called discussions on 'deals.' There's been zero progress since day 1 of shutdown. GOP Senate Leader Thune insists on no ACA deal until govt reopens. No compromise at all since Sept. ABC is accurate here.

Here's the data smoothed as quarterly average. Looks like recession to me. Seems like discussion of this chart would do nicely on CNBC. It's the trend or momentum that matters.

Moses Lake was apparently on par with known FEMA sites in Denton, Bothell, and Thomasville. These were/are underground. Santa Rosa was a smallish above ground bunker. Details of ML remain scarce, except it was built to hold 700 people.

Bothell is many miles away from Moses Lake. Apparently, the feds had a large relocation site at ML. Sort of West Coast Mount Weather? 18 federal agencies. Space for 700 people. In the middle of nowhere.

One topic of research is 1971 'False Emergency Broadcast System Incident' and related matters. Why did Nixon change it afterword? As of Oct 1970, it took 30 minutes to warn the public of nuclear attack via radio/TV. Nixon ended a system that never worked properly until about 10 years ago.

In order for AI to mimic the human mind, it has to mimic purple lady. 'I trust him. I trust all he says. Therefore, all he says is good for me.' Many educated people think this way. We would have to build a Purple Lady AI LLM and teach it like her from the cradle to adult with machine learning.

The Ford Library site is quite good. The Emergency Actions documents pertain to nuclear matters. What is 'B-1 Press Statement' in this context? Sensitive but unclassified. Draft news releases to the public aren't necessarily classified.

The House also has to elect a new Speaker every 2 years. But if the Pro Tem is not up for election in 2028, his term does not expire. US Senate is a Continuing Body where 2/3 are always in office at any time. If Pro Tem not up for 2028 election, he can become 2029 President. Trump cannot.

JFK rejected many nuclear war plans from Ike. From 1962 onward, concepts such as martial law begin to fade. Emphasis instead on suspension of Habeas, but not actual end to normal civilian rule of law.
