It’s unpopular with its base because the left is fractured. Plenty of progressives hate liberals and plenty of liberals hate progressives. Whereas right wingers all love Trump. We have no unifying figure which is likely the problem. I don’t think the answer here is policy, it’s way more shallow.

Not really arguing nor am I that since he’s a sex pest. I just don’t think Hasan is great either. I worded it in the least inflammatory way as well.

Tbh, Hasan is not the answer for Democrats. He openly hates them. He isn’t a terrible entry point for young people to be interested in politics, but Dems would only be hurting themselves by aligning with individuals like Hasan.

It is rare, and in most cases justified. You’re the one that stated it as if when it does happen they go to jail for it. This is another rare case where it was justified. They didn’t shoot anyone until the last moment when people were breaking through a barricade in the capitol.
