Season 2 introduced two new characters that I already love: Maj'El and Bribble. If we manage to get more Prodigy in some form (season 3, movies, etc.), I would love to see more of these two, and their interactions with the rest of the crew.

Early on, Dal's cockiness could be overbearing, to the point where I can understand people not liking him. However, "Kobayashi" was a great turning point for the character, as he gets a lesson in humility thanks to the titular test and a certain hologram.

One of my favorite bits with Murf in season 2: Him explaining what happened during the time travel, using nonsensical Murf-noises and exaggerated expressions, and then coming out looking proud of himself.

TV Spotlight: Legion

This Marvel series uses the unreliable narrator perspective of its main protagonist, and surreal style to tell a unique story within the X-Men universe. The weirdness and twists can be either engaging or overwhelming, but it doesn't shy from taking risks.

TV Spotlight: Superman: The Animated Series

Great Superman series, which is a strong follow-up Batman TAS while setting itself apart. The stories were lighter and adventurous, while exploring Superman and his world. It also pushes the DCAU world-building more than BTAS did.

TV Spotlight: Six Feet Under

This highly acclaimed HBO series used a great mix of drama and dark comedy to tackle themes of death, and trying to find meaning in our limited lives. The characters are well rounded, and stories are mostly strong, outside some uneven parts.

TV Spotlight: Rilakkuma and Kaoru

This stop-motion anime is just too cute and comfy. Following the life of the single, working-class Kaoru and her living stuffed animal friends, there's so much charm here. Also like how it deals with themes of adult life.

TV Spotlight: 3rd Rock Form the Sun

This may not be the first sitcom about aliens living among humans, but they made it work thanks to clever writing, and a great ensemble cast. The episodes explore different aspects of human life in fun ways.

TV Spotlight: Miami Vice

This 80s cop drama really captured and defined the era through its stories, aesthetics, and music. The cases were often compelling, as was the dynamic of the two leads. Admittedly later seasons weren't as strong, but it was still entertaining.

TV Spotlight: The Drew Carey Show

A fun 90s sitcom, which blended workplace humor and the average friends group comedy really well. A big part of its success was the great cast and their dynamics. And I love that it got more creative than a lot of 90s sitcoms at times.

TV Spotlight: Lost

At one point, this became my favorite series, and it would still be pretty high. Great mix of sci-fi/fantasy mystery, and character exploration. The twists often made it unpredictable, and while many weren't satisfied with the end, I still enjoyed it.

TV Spotlight: Mr. Robot

An interesting cyber thriller. The story gets compelling, with pretty complex characters, especially the main character who adds a unique layer to the show. Some parts get a bit weird, but overall I was very satisfied with how the story turned out.

TV Spotlight: Castlevania

The show that drew me into the Castlevania franchise. Loved the fantasy world, with vampires at its core, but a bunch of other creative creatures mixed in. The core team of protagonists is fun, and Dracula and other villains are compelling.

TV Spotlight: Quantum Leap

This time travel series had a nice mix of stand-alone stories, which could blend light period pieces and character drama in interesting ways. The dynamic between the two main characters, along with a campiness that was of its time gave it a fun edge.

TV Spotlight: Millennium

It's hard to describe this X-Files sister show, given how much it changed each season. Dark, crime drama one season, more spiritual supernatural show the next. But if you're ok with some unnerving TV, this had some compelling stories to tell.

TV Spotlight: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

My favorite Star Trek. It takes time hitting its groove, doesn't look back once it does. The space station setting lets them explore characters, alien cultures, and deepen the world-building in ways other Trek shows rarely did.

TV Spotlight: Bojack Horseman

It's easy to dismiss this show as a typical adult animated comedy. However, the story goes in unexpected directions as it explores the characters (especially Bojack) in all their faults. A lot of moments really leave their impression.

TV Spotlight: MASH

My favorite series. Following the MASH book and movie, this show found its own voice before too long. The mix of comedy and drama allowed the characters to feel human, and the writers were always trying to push the envelope with its stories.

TV Spotlight: Fringe

When Fringe started, I wasn't a fan. The stand-alone stories didn't really click with me. But once it gets into the bigger plot, and developed its characters, I grew to love it. Great sci-fi, with a strong cast. John Noble especially really shines here.

TV Spotlight: Cheers

A simple idea for a series, which had a lot working for it. A great cast, witty comedic writing, an iconic setting that captured the feeling of a home away from home. The Diane years were my favorite, but it stayed fun the whole way through.

TV Spotlight: Stargate SG-1

A continuation of Roland Emmerich's movie, which expands and evolves the mythology for TV. While some early episodes were shaky, there's a lot of great sci-fi ideas here, with a good mix of episodic adventures and more epic serialization.

TV Spotlight: The Simpsons

Whatever anyone may think about later seasons, it's hard to argue against this show's iconic status, and high quality at its peak. For a long time, this was my favorite series, and even if I've stopped watching, I still have a soft spot for it.

TV Spotlight: Bocchi the Rock

This is a light anime tailor made for me. A fun slice-of-life comedy with a great ensemble. Great portrayal of social anxiety, with fun internal monologues and cutaway gags. And the music theme is well done, with really well made performances.

TV Spotlight: Love, Death and Robots

This animated anthology really showed what Blur Studios was made of. At best of times, it produced top-tier sci-fi stories. Admittedly not all episode reached that level, but most were fun, and sported great art and animation.
