The schools should have tried to work out a deal where teachers who were low risk (ie young and healthy) could go back to the classroom and those at high risk were paid to stay home

How brave of you to volunteer others to go without pay.
Also getting back pay later still causes immediate problems for workers. You can't do any financial planning under those circumstances and if you don't have enough in savings you have to take on debt

I'm confused. After everything that's happened these last few weeks, I got the impression their strategy was to reduce immigration by destroying the economy so no one would want to come here in the first place.

I've always joked that teachers are mini dictators. And some teachers like Pol Pot and Pierre Nkurunziza did go in to become dictators. So maybe the comparison between teachers and police isn't that far off 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I definitely have complaints about teachers who are incompetent and the education system, but what about the teaching role do anarchists not like? How else are you supposed to educate people? I really didn't know this was a thing.

Excuse my ignorance but what does 'ACAB includes teachers' even mean? Do ACAB people hate teachers now? Or are they saying that a lot of teachers hate police? Both of these positions seem pretty bizarre.

Not that this would've changed the outcome but if he had started by making the guy admit that public agencies are government agencies then asked "so you think government agencies have to pay taxes to themselves? How does that work?" It might have made him squirm a bit more

Every time you bring up facts, they find some way to refuse to acknowledge it. They either say it's fake news, come up with some conspiracy theory, or just say "I don't believe that." And this isn't limited to Republicans. This is very common among independents and the far-left as well.

A bunch of us tried to speak factually with these people for the last 10 years. We explained that tariffs are bad, gutting government agencies will harm everyone, and showed them that Trump intended to do these things. They responded by accusing us of hysteria, crying wolf, and being "effeminate."
