The juxtaposition of Jupiter and Venus (centre of pic) was quite prominent in the eastern sky early this morning before dawn. I took the photo handheld with my iPhone, which apparently now uses image stabilization. The trees were lit by the near-full moon.

I just watched the film Trouble in the Headwaters about how flooding in BC is directly related to clear-cut logging and enhanced by climate change. It’s a very effective film in getting its point across, and applies to many other places besides BC.

I've always had a problem with Catch-and-Release fishing when one is not harvesting fish. As this article explains, salmon might be particularly prone to die in these days of climate change, warm and reduced waters:
