I am deeply concerned about how disabled residents who benefitted from these programs will be affected by this new policy once implemented.

I am a veteran & a whistleblower who also faced the wrath of political retribution in the civil service because I would not abandon my integrity. So, to all my fellow vets who are or are looking to serve again: continue to fight for what is right and hold onto your integrity.

Only one member of the board of five voted against this project. Only one brave supervisor moved to delay the vote. 4-1 in favor despite overwhelming opposition from the community. Wild indeed, but this is becoming a sad trend here in Virginia.

Experts and analysts from across the USG, as well as Nigerian experts and stakeholders, provided thorough and contextualized analysis back then to help ensure policymakers understood that this was not a simple issue of religious persecution. But, here we are again. @npr.org @pbsnews.org @cnn.com

Not many are reporting on a statement that could make some sense of the timing of this seemingly random POTUS outburst (if it does at all). I attended, & in some cases convened, several interagency meetings at the NSC during the 1st Trump admin about the issue of “Christian persecution” in Nigeria.

After what happened in 2017 in Niger (I was at State then), you would think the President of “no new wars” would be taking better stock of the regional landscape & how to better advise & assist host nation forces rather than using the situation in Nigeria as another foreign policy distraction.

This is why debates are so important. I am glad that Virginians were able to witness composure vs. chaos on the debate stage tonight. #vote
