From Memphis, Resident of Nashville. Purveyor of Tennessee exceptionalism. Opinions are my own. Easily distracted by maps.
Finally, here is the Republican vs. Democratic primary votes in the district by precinct. Outlier here is the blue (by 5 votes) precinct in southern Cheatham County at Kingston Springs. There are a fair bit of new homes in this area as Nashville sprawls westward down I-40.

On the Dem side, though a few votes can earn a precinct win in the rural parts of the district, would be interesting to know why Rep. Mitchell did so well along I-40 while Copeland carried the far north and south.

And now the more fragmented Dem contest: Rep. Dixie carried majority-African American precincts in Nashville and Clarksville, Rep. Behn drew support from urban white voters, and Reps. Mitchell and Copeland split the limited rural Democratic vote. #TN07

The purple areas in the inset map show Blackburn overperforming in the affluent Oak Hill, Green Hills, and Belle Meade neighborhoods in the southern part of the county, while Trump overperformed in more diverse regions like Antioch and Donelson.
