"stuck" did a whole lotta work there - heads up by the Dodger outfielder to plead the case by tossing up his hands, but c'mon, one finger pulled that out

"Why, it's just a blog?"

No. It's a briefing with SMEs. It's research. It's conceiving a story line. It's chasing down graphics from the client. It's a draft. It's reviews. It's a revision.

Then, it goes into the production queue of the blog outlet, which can be up to a week.

Like a weekly or monthly column (or blog in electronic pub).

Oooooof, my largest client has an PR rep, she routinely upsets the apple cart by demanding her blogging request get moved to the top of my pile, and it messes up all the 2-4 week projects in the queue and I start getting hate mail. Told her several times that lead time is a month. #FreelanceFriends

Same here, I lose my mind if I get more than three active clients (currently have two and one low-intensity non-tech pro bono). Putting people off more than a couple months has never worked for me.

RocketReach can be your friend when hunting down email addresses.

An email "packet" would have to be creative to differentiate it from a basic cold email, no? HTML email? PDF attachment with a graphic preview?

Can see where that would work for you. I have NDAs but they usually aren't that tight when work is actually published, I just can't talk about briefings or behind the scenes stuff, and I try to keep from taking clients in the same space (product offering + applicaton segment).
