This Black History Month, we honor the 42,962 Black donors who’ve given the gift of life—15% of all deceased donors in the U.S.—and recognize the 28,527 Black patients still waiting for transplants. Together, we can work to ensure everyone has the chance to give and receive the gift of life.

Today, we honor Stef and her brother Max, whose decision to be an organ donor saved five lives. Max was always her protector, and his generous spirit lives on. Now, as a Donor & Family Coordinator at Donor Alliance, Stef carries his love and legacy into every conversation with donor families.
