I tend to think that we have a vastly inflated idea of what is possible in academia, because every grant proposal has to claim that it is revolutionising a field. The time required to read into an area is long, and to have new ideas... Unless you're an economist, where every field is a tabula rasa.

Yep. Not as good as google admittedly on vague seaches, but the AI slop is slowing that down so that with an accurate enough prompt means ecosia is as good.
