The #Ogoni9 are Ken Saro-Wiwa, Barinem Kiobel, John Kpuinen, Baribor Bera, Felix Nuate, Paul Levula, Saturday Dobee, Nordu Eawo & Daniel Gbokoo.

They were put on trial in 1995 after challenging the impact of oil production by #Shell in the Niger Delta.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the Ogoni Nine who were executed by the Nigerian military government in November 1995 after campaigning against widespread oil pollution in the Niger Delta.

@amnesty.org calls for the Ogoni Nine to be fully exonerated.
