Superb piece by @jamesbloodworth.bsky.social in this month's @bylinetimes.bsky.social mag: "Britain's Media Has Let Nigel Farage Reshape Political Journalism - Why?" This article alone was worth my annual sub to one of the very few news outlets still doing proper journalism

“Don’t give up”

Impossible not to be moved by Jane Goodall’s gentle words of encouragement here (and she was right about gathering all the worst monsters on this earth and shooting them into space on one of Musk’s rockets)

From ‘Famous Last Words’ on Netflix
Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

I'm sure that months ago Reform UK we're arguing that migrants are coming here because we make it too easy for them to get work.
Starmer suggests electronic ID cards to make it harder and they all throw their toys out of the pram.
Almost makes me think Reform don't want to solve 'the problem'.

It's time to tackle poverty.

It's time for a country where we don't just survive - but thrive.

Towards the end, listen to the interview with @zackpolanski.bsky.social
and tell me this isn't a breath of fresh air in UK politics.
You may not agree with him but he's open, honest and has a sense of humour.
The journalist didn't quite know what to do! 😀

US Democrats are currently giving UK politicians & journalists a lesson in how to hold Nigel Farage to account.

It'd be nice if they paid attention.

Moskowitz: Do you think the Epstein list should come out?

Farage: I have no opinion on it.

Raskin: It’s been reported that he’s called for it to be released

Moskowitz: I have it here. Do you agree with yourself?

I listened to your interview with Mark Steel and I found myself agreeing with everything you said.
As a member of The Green Party (I first joined in 1989), I will be voting for you.
Good luck.

Loved recording this - and Mark's impressions are worth it alone! 🤣

Cutting 20p off fuel duty blows a £9.1bn hole - nearly the entire home office budget. Total uncosted, populist wank. And scrapping half-built HS2? No refunds for concrete bridges. It’s smog, spin, and economic fantasy. Farage is a batshit crazy idiot. #ukpilitics

The pharmaceutical giant plans to continue offering 23andMe’s DNA testing service and pledged to adopt its privacy practices to protect customer data.

Reform bot attacks on tactical voting are designed to confuse people

Because they know tactical voting is what will keep Reform out

The bot’s key message is that people won’t vote Labour

But that’s the point about tactical voting

In many places the vote is Libdem or Green

The @neu teaching union was just on @radio4 talking about potential strikes.
For me, it's not so much the 2.8% offer that is the issue, it's that it's unfunded.
That means that if I get the 2.8% my school will have to make 2.8% cuts elsewhere.
Please explain to me where those cuts should come from?

Someone should ask Badenoch and Farage if Britain too would be joining Russia, North Korea, Belarus, and Hungary in voting against such resolutions if they were in government:
JUST IN:

The UN has adopted Ukraine’s resolution condemning Russian aggression and demanding the immediate withdrawal of Putin’s forces, marking the war’s third anniversary.

The U.S. joined Russia, North Korea, Belarus, and Hungary in opposing the resolution.
