Has the SSSI unit at Little Sea been reassessed since 2013 when it was considered to be 'Unfavourable - Declining'? Is the introduction of beavers expected to improve that situation? And if so, how? designatedsites.naturalengland.org.uk/UnitDetail.a...

The NT (and Bournemouth Uni) was experimenting with returning much of that grassland to heath some years ago. Too expensive and time-consuming perhaps. Or hard to resist free trees.

I know! 😩 Never name caterpillars after family pets. The trauma of their passing simply gets repeated. Lucky wasps though I guess?
