I'm an internet rando lurking in the Portland, Oregon cityscape. Previously Alabama and Arkansas. Technical writer. Often seen cackling about something with @noahbrand.bsky.social.

Also, the cats want food. I should feed them.
The Royal Canadian Air Force has arrived in #WarRavagedPortland.

Will surrender for health care?

A band which is, of course, Obviously Legally Distinct from your uncle's 1970s outlaw country band of the same name.

As promised, here's Danni, the oldest of @siliconchef.bsky.social's cats. She is convinced we're visiting solely to pet her. No one tell her otherwise, ok?

Questlove, starting his short-notice midnight set. This venue holds a max of 200 people. It's our second concert tonight, and it's time to party. @kindaharmless.bsky.social and I are READY.

Portland is on this already, with The People's Courts.

Five years later he's still beating up my shoes. He is either a mouthy, dapper little jackass of a cat — or a well-disguised border collie.

Jury's still out.

Post a picture of when your pet was little.

I realize "it was worth the money" sounds like damning with faint praise, but it's not:

"💀 End my nightmares, Amy. Extend our streak!"

Seriously? Ugh. 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻

My friends are snarky, but this is coercive garbage. Enough. Time to #DeleteDuolingo and cancel my account. On to Mango Languages via my public library.

Show me a picture on your phone that has your energy that isn’t a selfie

Movie you’ve watched more than six times using gifs.

(“Hard mode” no Star Wars, Star Trek, or LOTR)

There's "I need new sneakers" and then there's "half of the word All-Star on my heel is worn away."

Welp, I have new shoes now.

I am being loomed over.

I'm being glared at, which is how I know Pippin is glad I'm home.

6/ and so, my boarding pass for today has this little symbol on it. I haven't eaten anything solid since ... Monday?, and Albuquerque is at ALTITUDE, y'all.

I talk a good game of sass, but that's because I'm lying in bed right now. Life lessons from The Princess Bride are 100% in effect right now.

I (literally!) wear my heart on my sleeve.

My tattoo is a storytelling aid. It tells the story of everyone I've ever loved, in chronological order: Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Minnesota, Oregon, and New Mexico.

I'm grateful you posted this. I moved away from AL long enough ago now that my info is out of date. Portland is solidly blue, so a good % of my donations go to Arkansas and Alabama. They need those dollars more.

Commas matter.

I have a tuxie who believes all junk mail should be on the floor. Preferably after he finishes gnawing on it.

My gray streak is rapidly becoming a major identifying feature.

Prepare to scream a _lot_ if you ever go to Juneau. They're everywhere, like multiple-eagles-same-tree everywhere.

Also, the ravens are fearless. They'll hang out with you while you gas up your car. Y'know, in case you drop something.

"War and Peace" is done. The remaining pages are footnotes.

I'm a cluttery person married to a chaos mage. The only way we can have a perfect, tidy house is by us not living in it.

Where do minimalists store the carpentry tools, the wrist brace you need only on bad days, the spare batteries, the snacks, etc?

This news hits hard for me. I am proud of the years I spent working in (another) Alabama public library system. Librarians, especially those in deep red states, deserve every bit of this support. ❤️

(@wendyqualls.bsky.social, you'll have some feelings here too.)
