Roadie has an idea... or a caffeine problem.
Roadie leands over a cash register as she looks over at En, an adrogynous older person wearing a white and pink hoodie with green, silver and pink hair. En is holding the tip jar visually inspecting the money inside. Roadie says: "And as soon as we took the stage in the VR Club, Miko just froze. She spent like 40 hours obsessing over getting the show right, and she forgot everything. Not a single song was performed right." The camera tilts down a bit, showing En opening its posture in response to Roadie. It responds to Roadie matter-of-factly: "Ahh, stage fright. Makes sense. Lovelace is pretty timid most of the time. Music production is one thing in a comfy studio, but it's entirely different on a stage in front of people you can see. This one guy in my old band, he would..." Roadie excitedly leans forward with a crazed expression, interrupting En's anecdote. "You were in a band, boss?!" En recoils in surprise, the tip jar dropping out of his hand. Roadie settles into a crazed grin as En glares at her in frustration. The coffee cup doesn't spill anything, as if it was empty. En points at Roadie and says, "I see that look in your eyes, Roadie, and it's not because you've had four coffees in an hour."

Hey, Roadie here. Managed to snag a really nice third-gen Camaro! It burns a little oil, but other than that it's practically pristine. 4-speed automatic, purple and black two-tone, and terrible gas mileage. Mmmm, American excess.

Roadie and Teto smile as they glance off camera. Roadie says, "See ya back at the apartment, Meiko! We'll run the errands on our way back." Roadie continues watching Meiko leave off-camera, as Teto turns her attention to Roadie. Teto frowns at Roadie, seemingly dropping a facade while Roadie notices Teto glaring at her. Roadie leans into Teto angrily, while Teto leans away defensively. Roadie says, "Picking your nose is fucking normal, Teto." Teto offers a deadpan response. "No it's fucking not, Roadie."

Local Bassist Too Lazy to Bring Laptop Into Bedroom, Gets Eviscerated By Local Drummer
Roadie sits at the table with Teto's guitar and her laptop laying on top of it. She holds a beer bottle in one hand as she advances scenes in the visual novel she's reading on her laptop. The visual novel is identified as "Coquette Dragoon." Miko enters the scene, seeming to place her hand on the side of the frame as if it were a door frame. Roadie reels back in surprise as Miko shouts, "PISS GIRL." Roadie looks back at the laptop, speechless, as Miko stares at Roadie, waiting for a response. Roadie points at Miko with a smug smile on her face and says, "Is that an insult or a command?" Miko points back with a smile and replies, "You disgust me."

what a curse to bear...
a distorted green and pink sigil gets disrupted by distortion and noise. Text appears over it. The text says: "I don't remember much about how it all happened. All I remember is being told to close my eyes, that I was being given a gift. They told me it was an apology. A way for them to ask forgiveness." The sigil transforms into a circle. A face with black eyes and a toothless mouth seems to try pushing through the distortion, but it's heavily obscured by the bright sigil. More text reads: "I closed my eyes. A bright light flashed. My eyes felt like they were burning. I couldn't scream." The face, trying to pierce through the distortion, is now itself distorted into a mess. More text reads: "I felt so distant to myself. Voices echoed in my head as if the tail on a reverb plugin got stuck in an infinite loop. A single footstep felt simultaneously so far away and yet so painfully loud. I thought I'd gone to hell. I thought they must have tricked me. I don't think so anymore, as I think about it. They weren't asking me for forgiveness. They were asking their God for it. I was their sacrifice." The distortion remains, but the face now disappears, replaced by a scene that is hard to make out through the glitchy noise. It appears as though a body is slumped against a wall plastered with graffiti, while a person obscured by noisy, distorted scribbles crouches down next to it. The text continues: "I remember feeling so much pain as a baseline, and every now and then it would get so much worse. Like someone was stabbing me in the gut over and over and over again. Then someone picked me up. It didn't feel painful. The parts of my vessel that were touched by this person felt painless. Next thing I knew, I woke up in a shelter. I looked dirty and terrible... but I was 'alive' again."

Teto learns the traditional queer ritual known as "traumadumping at your friends and not realizing it until they're left staring at you in horror after you spent a little too much time reminiscing about your past."
Kasane Teto leans her chin into her left hand, while Miko and Roadie attentively lean in to listen to her speak. Roadie is holding a beer bottle, and Teto's 8-string guitar lays on the wooden table. Teto says: "Okay. So. It goes like this. About ten years ago, this vessel, or what you'd call a 'doll,' was made. After six months of spells and sigils, I came to consciousness in this 'doll.'" The viewer now peers over Roadie's shoulder as Teto continues: "I don't know anything from before. I was told I used to be alive. "A real person," as you'd call it. But I have no idea what came before I ended up in this vessel. I could be a totally different person. A woman, a man, a doctor, a priest, a scam artist... Could have been anything, really!" Only Teto is in frame now, as she rests her chin in her hands and looks off to the side, as if nostalgic. She keeps speaking: "My creators expected me to be like the person they used to know, but no matter how hard I tried, I just didn't measure up to that. They put me in a pop idol group to try and "rejog some memories," but that didn't work either. A fan of the idol group offered me a joint. I didn't know if it'd do anything at the time, but I was hiding my whole "doll" thing, so I took it. When the creators found out, they got really mad. Apparently, THC permanently eradicates any chance I might have had to remember who I was before. So they kicked me out and set a curse on me so I couldn't return. And now, here I am in your band!" The viewer now peers over Teto's shoulder to reveal Miko and Roadie, recoiling in horror at Teto's story. Miko is holding onto Roadie's arm for reassurance, while Roadie places her free hand over her chest like a mother who just heard her child swear for the first time. The background is visceral, with deep reds and blacks creating a scary undertone. Teto, without breaking her posture, dryly says: "...why are you looking at me like that?"

Kasane Teto plays her 8-string guitar over a pink and white gradient background as music notes rush past her on a musical staff. A faint image of a sakura tree looks as if it blossoms out of Teto's guitar. Roadie appears in frame and the background immediately turns to a red and black one. Kasane Teto's eyes move in Roadie's direction, but she doesn't turn her head or body toward her. Teto mutes her guitar with a "chk" sound as Roadie says: "Wow, I didn't know you could play pretty stuff, too!" Teto now turns her face toward Roadie, as Roadie looks back at Teto with an innocent smile. Teto smacks Roadie in the face, causing Roadie to recoil backward with her right hand splayed out in front of her. Teto booms: "SHUT UP."

Miko and Roadie stand next to each other over a red and black background. Miko crosses her arms casually, while Roadie leans toward Miko with her hands resting over her bum-pockets on her jeans. Roadie says: "Sometimes I kinda wish I had a bigger dick." Miko now leans forward and gestures her right arm toward Roadie. Miko has a concerned look on her face. She says: "Isn't it already kinda big, though?" In a hushed tone, she whispers: "you keep joking about it..." Miko crosses her arms again, still looking at Roadie with concern. Roadie just stares silently at Miko. Roadie's face turns into Jeff Gerstmann's face, causing Miko to lean backwards and separate her arms as if to protect herself. Roadie says: "BIGGER." Miko shouts in response, "HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT?!"
