I've been feverishly ripping/digitising tracks (from original cassette, vinyl, and CD), & together with author Jamie Taylor, recorded a few links – producing a sequence of tracks & chat which ended up as our @bbc6music.bsky.social Freak Zone Playlist for Ken Patten’s Studio Electrophonique.

A few weeks ago, author & broadcaster Simon Strong dropped by at Do It Thissen Towers for a chat about the Sheffield music scene.

Our conversation was recorded for broadcast on a show which Simon co-hosts back in Australia (The Planet X show on 3CR Radio). Oh, and we played a few records.

Been up in the Yorkshire Dales (Malham) to celebrate the 60th birthday of the #PennineWay

Would have been rude not to, having taken part in the opening celebrations on 24 April 1965 😁

RIP Brian James. Lucky to have seen him play in The Damned three times (all in 1977).

That first single (of which he wrote the A side) is in my top 10 all time 7” records
