Mark and I saw Alabaster de Plume last night for my birthday. It was fantastic. Hawkwind/Ethiopian jazz, poetry over glorious waves of building sounds. Honestly, it was really brilliant. I think Mark was a bit reluctant but he was converted after the first song.
