This past weekend, @jasonkauz.bsky.social’s lovable pug, Pepe, suffered an accident & needed live-saving care.

The good news: IT IS WORKING.

The rough stuff: We could really use some help getting Pepe back on his feet.

Any donation or share is beyond appreciated 🤍 - AV & JK

no matter your politics it’s disrespectful to joke about someone’s death. don’t say hulk hogan died when he tried to do an atomic leg drop and missed and bonked his head and bounced out of the ring and his pants flew off and his dick got twisted off the top rope. don’t say stuff like that

now this is the kinda shit im talkin about. saguaro cactus. hell yeah. these bad boys can sequester the carbon equivalent of 40 gallons of gas, not releasing carbon back into the atmosphere during decomposition but interacting with the soil to create the mineral calcium carbonate(just a fuckin rock)

It’s really cool that the CEO of this company, who is semi responsible for me and countless other animation workers being out of work for a year+, can make these sort of “ooosie doodle!” missteps and still get paid millions a year.

Meanwhile, I might go on food stamps soon.

Wish I had more free time for things like this these days.

Word that the great Drew Struzan, who painted more iconic movie posters in the 1980s & 90s than you can imagine, has entered the final stages of Alzheimers. His wife asked that everyone thinks of him and his work and I'm certainly glad to do so. What a talent.

Learned that some French Immersion flash cards I illustrated made a brief appearance on @npr.org recently. Very cool to see.
Louisiana has a long history with French. This immersion school aims to keep it alive
Most Louisianans no longer speak French, but a growing number of schools are now immersing kids in it. At École Pointe-au-Chien, the focus is on teaching local French dialects first.
