Watched "Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning". Seen all the others but not a fanboi. More of the same, really - action, suspense, bit of humour, and great actors, with a story that pulls everything neatly together to tie the series off very satisfactorily. #filmsky

Watched "Deathstalker". Big fan of the originals... and this is a fantastic re-visiting! Has all the wonderful B-movie melodrama, silly humour and non-CGI effects for the original '80s feel. Totally brilliant. #filmsky

Watched "A House of Dynamite". Great cast, acting, character study, but shit film. Same piece of story (no ending) 3 times from 3 perspectives. Works in Hero (has an end), tedious & frustrating here. Most profoundly unsatisfying thing I've watched in years. #filmsky

Watched "Wing Commander" (again). Complete tosh, but still fun. Supporting cast calmly outdoes the lead actors in every scene (esp. Karyo & Prochnow) and makes it all bearable, though painfully by the numbers and unlike the games. #filmsky

While wandering around in Mafia III (third run through, taking it slow), I stumbled across this guy on the west side of Downtown. Stand close enough and you can hear him play "When the Saints Go Marching In". How cool is that?

Watched Millenium trilogy (Swedish 6-part series). 1st is superb, feels like a great film. 2nd & 3rd feel like TV, very choppy in places. Great cast: Rapace & Nyqvist outstanding, supporting cast excellent throughout. Wonderful, absolutely worth 7 hours' watch. #filmsky

Finished my second run through Mafia III Definitive Edition (on hard difficulty this time). Huge fun, but GOG still didn't pick up achievements. Discovered that doing Vito's "I need a favor" missions answers what happened to Joe after Mafia II... very cool.

Watched "Morning Glory" (thanks, @anxovert.bsky.social ). McAdams is outstanding, Ford and Keaton are great as always, story is cheesy but refreshingly avoids leaning on the romance to work. Wonderful feel-good movie, recommended. #filmsky

Watched "Delivery Run". Not a Duel remake. Every character (incl. unnamed ones) more interesting and likeable than main character. Decent premise ruined by terrible story, horrible dialogue, awful ending and no interest in main character. Utterly disappointing. #filmsky

Watched "The Twits". Never read much Dahl (bad Spike), so no comparisons. Enjoyed this. Real kid fantasy stuff: crazy story, sledgehammer messaging, and where the magical becomes normal and everyone just accepts it. Definitely worth a watch. #filmsky
