Here's an idea: Any Democrat who wants to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate in 2028 must pledge to rip this cabal of anti-democracy tech fascists out of our government.

Anyone who won't make that pledge is for the billionaires, not the people. This must be a deal-breaking litmus test.
A Palantir billionaire just called for public hangings.

“It's time to bring back masculine leadership to protect our most vulnerable,” writes Joe Lonsdale.

This is where Silicon Valley authoritarianism is heading:

We lost so much when we lost Grant. Not only was he the greatest American soccer writer but he had the guts and integrity to call out corruption, sexism, and bigotry regardless of what it cost him personally.

Very few people in sports media (or any media) are like this!
I wish Grant Wahl was here rn

Crucial is shutting down — because Micron wants to sell its RAM and SSDs to AI companies instead. It’s already getting hard to build an affordable PC, and the exit of the longstanding provider of consumer memory is going to make that even more challenging www.theverge.com/news/837594/...

Crusty bread and a small dish of excellent olive oil, balsamic, and a light grind of pepper is totally underrated as a snack.

Are all MLS neutrals rooting against Miami?

Somehow I want the ultimate lesson to Messi and all players that come here from Europe to be

‘Yeah. It ain’t that easy.’

Ignoring the mathematical idiocy, drug prices aren't falling at all. They're going up, and up by a lot.

Anyone who's paying for medication right now knows that. My medication has gone up over a hundred dollars a month, with more increases coming, as I've been warned.

This is madness.

All books by Normal People and Conversations with Friends author Sally Rooney set to be withdrawn from sale.

The 34-year-old Irish author says: “The disappearance of my work from bookshops would mark a truly extreme incursion by the state into the realm of artistic expression.”

I think plenty of it speaks to the state of the media, but an obvious one is that Vox and Vanity Fair barely investigated her and that she managed to commit an unforgivable journalistic crime before getting a book deal and walking into another prestige job, while plenty of others are being laid off
you know, what if they aren't actually a commentary on journalism or the state of media. what if these people are just extremely weird

Anyone who says any coach would struggle with this squad is 100% right but that game last night really shined a light on the fact that Amorim is just not the guy long term

He cannot adjust. So even when the squad is there, there will be games where other teams are prepared. What's he going to do?

You should beat Everton at home but sometimes football happens. The issue was how they lost

Their plan wasn't working and there was no adjustment. It was clear after a half hour, an hour, and Amorim just didn't make any changes. He just expected it to magically get better.

That's unacceptable
Most accept that this flawed Manchester United side will lose their fair share of games this season

But when they lose, they cannot lose like this

If the result was bad, the abject manner of this defeat was worse, with worrying hallmarks of last season www.nytimes.com/athletic/683...
Manchester United were always going to lose games this season. But not like this
It was the manner of the defeat by Everton, rather than just the defeat itself, which was so worrying for Ruben Amorim
