Kicked up grilled cheese! Spread thin layer tomato sauce on ww bread then sliced herb&garlic cheese, chopped green onion & sliced Havarti before putting top slice with tomato sauce on. Buttered outer sides before grilling. Thought of @korinamossauthor.bsky.social & #LindaReilly #cheese #Fridaylunch

Wed was a day trip to Gimli on the shores of Lake Winnipeg about an hour north of Winnipeg Manitoba. Warm weather, light breeze, fab gal pals, great food and conversations. Walk on the beach & visit a polar bear sculpture that had been painted with aurora and indigenous theme. Perfection!

My view here in Winnipeg tonight. Smoky skies continue as forest fires rage in northern Manitoba & Saskatchewan. My heart breaks for the more than twenty thousand who have been forced to evacuate on very short notice. The prairie provinces need a good soaker rain - especially in the north
