I met a young artist in Caen last week. who recently applied to Glasgow School of Art and was accepted. He holds a British passport, although he has never lived in UK. Still, he was told that he would be treated as a foreign national and expected to pay £ 27000 pa. He didn't go. Tough times.

Je viens de créer le Feed « Art Contemporain Fr ». Il devrait afficher tous les messages qui contiennent la phrase « art contemporain » écrite en français. Tout le monde peut l'utiliser. J'espère que c'est un bon moyen d'entrer en contact avec d'autres personnes qui partagent ce champs d'intérêt.

Barcelona : Sueño Puro. Nouvelle exposition. Projet inspiré par similitudes que j'ai remarquées entre l'architecture géométrique du bâtiment, le plan d'urbanisme de Cerdà et les calculatrices LCD vintage que les adolescents utilisent pour écrire des mots à l'envers comme SOLEIL et HELL.
Premier plan : Reprise sculpturale des chaises et ottomans Barcelona de Mies Van Der Rohe. Statut de ces objets transformés d'objets de luxe en mobilier municipal. Two intense days with reps from FR & UK art schools. Enlightening tours of CSM, RCA, and Ravensbourne. Thx to ANdEA, CHEAD and French embassy for organisation, support and welcome. So many ideas, so much goodwill. Now to write up, secure funding, and start sharing talent & expertise trans Manche.

Petit chantier d'été : Restauration d'une œuvre de Laurent Moriceau de 2003. Remplacement de l'ancien système d'éclairage fluorescent par des LED. Merci à Patrice Carré pour son aide et ses conseils avisés.
Ancien système avec ampoules fluorescent. Nouveau système avec LEDs. Œuvre réinstallée. Œuvre allumée.
