I know I've been quiet lately, all the stuff going on has been keeping me busy.
One of those things is that Sickle and I added a new goober to the family, she's a rescue so obviously some extra TLC needed, that said she's settling in nicely.

Still a bit more to do but paint is mostly done, was just trying to hit the stuff that's gonna be a pain after the motor is in
also don't @ me auto body folks, I know I didn't mask super well, would've been a waste of time as most of the rubber, wire looms, etc need to be replaced anyways

Sickle managed to snap a better quality pic earlier after I scrubbed the firewall a bit more
still have a few spots on it and the frame to work on but should hopefully be hitting stuff with some fresh paint this weekend

but torque converter is off the seized motor and back in the truck, also almost got all of the decades of grime and oil off the frame
so paint time soon

Small update on the truck:
Exhaust is now loose and only a couple transmission bolts left, so old motor is coming out sometime early in the week when weather permits it.
Lil goober is also still having a blast being out there working on stuff.

I probably should have guessed given the amount of crud on that side of the motor but honestly was just hoping it was a bad valve cover gasket.
It's so much worse than what you can see even in that zoom in though, everything from the valley to the frame is just caked in stuff.

It should in theory at least still be showing up there even if the desktop applet isn't working/the audio itself isn't working. If not then it's probably a driver related issue or something that requires a bit more effort.
