One of my cherished aviation history items - Vernon Lee Burge (1888 – 1971) he was an @usarmy.bsky.social aviation pioneer. He was the 1st American enlisted man to be certified as a military pilot. Burge was commissioned officer during World War I and World War II. @usairforce.bsky.social

Today I adopted this unknown couple. The ancestors of hundreds, perhaps thousands. The #daguerreotype was copied as a carte de viste ca. 1860s. But no name or photographer... Word to the wise PRINT OUT & PUT NAMES on your photos or they may be sold on #ebay someday for $4.00 someday too! #Genealogy
