Wow what an ad.
I was born an underdog. 21 surgeries by the age of 12 for spina bifida. A kid wearing goodwill hand-me-downs. I knew nothing would come easy, but I never doubted my right to the American dream.

Now, I'm running for the U.S. Senate to make sure all Iowans have a shot at theirs.

This is beyond f-ed up. This is not normal. Going after people at immigration court, trying to do the right thing—and doing it so brutally.
ICE is going to get someone killed.

If you needed proof these rookie hires aren’t trained, here it is. Real feds de-escalate. They call for backup. They don’t drag people down the street w/a car.

Hope everyone’s OK.

NYT story: Trump Threatens 200 Percent Tariff on Champagne and Wine From Europe
My question: how long would I need to stay in Europe to B/E on the delta of travel costs vs increased tariffs? Note: I love champagne. I can use miles for my flight and mostly crash with friends. It’s a no brainer! 🙃

I have/want to believe this would go against the 1st amendment and not stand, but WTF?! And “they” were decrying lack of free speech?!
A new North Dakota bill would require stores to pull any book with any "material harmful to minors" from the shelves.

For those in the cheap seats, that effectively means ANY mention of sex, sexuality or gender.

A bookseller could be arrested for displaying 1984.

Port: It's not just about kids, and it's not just libraries
Legislation under consideration in Bismarck wouldn't just restrict access to books in schools and libraries. The language of the bill also applies to private book stores.

It’s been used effectively for generations. Now many wealthy and powerful are pointing to immigrants where before they rallied poor and working class whites pointing to black people being their “why.” Look over there!!
