tonight while recording a guest spot on a podcast i experienced an unacceptable level of disrespect from one of the hosts. so i decided to do what felt right for me and i left. i didn’t need to stick around to show i’m “tough” or “thick skinned.” i reminded myself that no one is owed my time.

IMO, it raises the question of how useful are executives?
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.
I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?

And furthermore, isn't one of the major points of AI the ease of use? What do I even need to learn, then? How to write a prompt? How to double-check its work? How to spot fake news? I only see things I need to learn against AI, never what it is supposedly bringing to the table.

Because as I see it, the only thing being done is emails being written faster and terrible "art" being made. These are not things that impact me, nor will they likely ever.
What is the advantage? Where is the system I need to learn? What is being left behind if I don't adapt?
