Conservatives who lost the GOP to Trump telling Democrats who to nominate need to take a seat. Like 2020, after Trump the electorate will be looking for competent governance in 2028. There are plenty of successful Democratic governors to choose from, Whitmer, Beshear, Newsome and several others.
