Started today at a breakfast w NY Gov Hochul discussing NY tech industry issues, from investing in AI to school cell phone bans to immigration.
Ended the day w/my 7yo, building fart-powered forcefields that keep monsters away.
Sometimes the small problems feel just as important as the big ones.

I really do love a $5M startup rattling the nerves of the tech industry & Wall Street, and having such a global impact. This is why I love the startup world. Anything is possible! How can you not believe?

…. But my little boy was not. So he woke up really late, needed extra snuggles, he insisted on wearing a sweater that’s too small & he ate toast w/butter & sugar (?) on the way to school, which he was late for.
And that’s just how it’s gonna be today!

A comptroller’s report found that deporting the estimated 1.4 million undocumented immigrants living in Texas in 2005 would have cost the state about $17.7 billion in gross domestic product.

Things I learned today about ADHD… Do you have a strong inner monologue? I do not - my thoughts are not typically verbalized in my head - and apparently that’s a common issue for those with ADHD, all part of the lack of self-regulation & executive function. Kind of makes sense…

Went on a spree of closing tabs in my Chrome browser on mobile bc I clearly had too many open (hate how it only shows the number if you have less than 100). Took me down a browsing memory lane all the way back to last summer. Woof that was a journey thru some strange queries & open shopping carts

Politicians are often either great campaigners or great governing, but rarely both. Is there a new model in our future? Could we as a society embrace elected officials who are excellent policymakers who mainly campaign thru surrogates?

I just heard MTV News is shutting down, many hours after it was announced
1) feels weird cuz Twitter used to show me real-time news and now it shows me aggro tech bros teaching ppl how to be as successful as them if they subscribe to their substack
