Playing Mario Kart World while I wait for my games to load to my SD card. I still have my issues with it and it’s not worth $80 but I do still think it’s an incredibly fun game, especially after the recent update.

Every game makes me frustrated. Hollow Knight Silksong makes me frustrated. Hades II makes me frustrated. Street Fighter 6 makes me frustrated. Do I even like video games anymore?

Silksong is not for me. The game, especially in act 2, doubles down on the worst aspects of Hollow Knight to make the game as tedious as possible to play. Extra damage, long run backs, boss fights that last way too long with inflated health. Not having any fun, I’m done playing.

Donkey Kong Bananza got nominated for Game of the Year, but is absent everywhere else but Best Family Game. No Action Adventure, Art Direction, or Game Direction. Its chances at Game of the Year are basically 0 (even if Clair Obscure wasn’t obviously gonna win).

I may actually look into this if pricing is good. If it’s much more than $600 I’m gonna wonder what’s the point if a PS5 exists, but I’d love it if this were a more accessible way to get into PC gaming.

I finished Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. It’s a good game but I have many issues with it. But if all you wanted was a canonical story about the Imprisoning War and for the game to run at 60fps, they absolutely deliver on both and you’ll enjoy it way more than I did, as I suspect most will.

Been playing Age of Imprisonment. I like it so far, but not as much as AoC yet. The game seems like it was made as an apology for AoC, but as someone who actually liked AoC I’m left a bit burned by some decisions. Gonna wait until I beat the game to explain further in case things change but yeah.
